PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve easy-to-see display for a user without losing convenience when measuring a body temperature in an electronic thermometer. SOLUTION: The electronic thermometer includes: a light emission unit 252 having a plurality of aligned LEDs 252A; a shake detection unit 230; and a display control unit 244 controlling the emission of the LEDs 252A. Further, the display control unit 244 includes a means of generating a light emission dot pattern based on the a measured body temperature, a means of calculating the emission time per one dot row of the LED calculated based on a detection result by a shake detection unit 230, and a means for acquiring the shake speed calculated based on the detection result by the shake detection unit 230, and controls the emission of the LEDs 252A according to the generated emission dot pattern, the calculated emission time per one dot row, and the amount of emission corresponding to the calculated shake speed.
