PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a tire, while decreasing the amount of use of petroleum resources, and reducing rolling resistance. SOLUTION: A band layer 9 covering at least the outer end 7E of a belt layer 7 in the axial direction of the tire is disposed on the outside in the radial direction of the belt layer 7. The band layer 9 is formed by spirally winding a small-width long belt-like rubber ply 10 using short fiber silica-filled rubber G0 in which short fibers of natural materials and silica are mixed into a rubber ingredient.
