The disclosed support device: supports a movable body (15) in such a way that the angle thereof is adjustable using an angle adjustment mechanism (14) which can be mounted on the upper part of a leg; supports a long support body (17) so as to be slidable in a longitudinal direction using the movable body (15); and is provided with a support object mounting part (16) for mounting an object to be supported, such as platform or a camera, on the end of the long support body (17). An operation tube (18), which is for carrying out angle adjustment operations, is fitted on the opposite side of the long support body (17) to the support object mounting part (16), and is threadedly connected to the movable body (15). By screwing the operation tube (18) inwards, a pair of arms (66, 67) of a support body (23) are squeezed together by rotating body surfaces (62, 64) of one pressing part (63) and another pressing part (65), deforming a slit (24) in a closing direction, and deforming a pitch axis hole (25) so as to have a smaller diameter, fixing the angle adjustment mechanism (14). The operation tube (18) provides improved operability. |
