OPTICAL SCANNER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which a beam diameter is optimized for a plurality of wavelengths with a single aperture without increasing cost. SOLUTION: The optical scanner includes: a laser diode (light source) 20; a polygon mirror (deflector) 23 which deflects a light beam L emitted from the laser diode 20; an aperture 29 which has an aperture diaphragm which stops down the light beam L in an optical path between the polygon mirror 23 and the laser diode 20; and an fθlens which focuses the light beam L deflected with the polygon mirror 23 on a face to be scanned at a constant speed. A plurality of aperture diaphragms having different sizes are formed on the aperture 29, and the mounting direction of the aperture 29 is varied according to the wavelength of the light beam L emitted from the laser diode 20.
