PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cavitation occurrence caused by vacuum generated in the upper space of an armature by reciprocating the motion of the armature, and to avoid damage to components such as the surface of the armature and the lower portion of a solenoid valve caused by cavitation erosion, in a fuel injection valve including a control valve and the armature fixed to the upper portion of the control valve, driven by the solenoid valve and moving the control valve. SOLUTION: The fuel injection device includes an air-bleeding hole 32 having one end opened in the upper space of the armature 15a and extending upward, and the other end opened in a fuel outflow passage 16 through a position higher than the upper space of the armature 15a. The air-bleeding hole 32 is provided with a portion Z which is formed in the uppermost position higher than the upper space of the armature 15a and which generates the cavitation erosion by the reciprocating motion of the armature.
