PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polybenzazole fiber multifilament having improved post-processing property while maintaining heat resistance and flame retardancy. SOLUTION: The polybenzazole fiber includes a tensile strength of≤4.5 GPa, the variation B(%) of strength of single filaments constituting a multifilament defined by the following formula: B(%)=(σ/average tensile strength of single filaments)×100 of≤0.2% and a number of constituent filaments is≥30. The polybenzazole fiber multifilament has a stickiness degree K of single filaments to each other constituting the multifilament of≤5%, wherein K=((b-a)/b)×100 (wherein a is the total number of single filaments; and b is a structural number of multifilament).
