<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for providing the stable condition of hardness of a weaving loom. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit for weaving looms includes a type including a first electric motor 2 for driving moving members of the loom carrying out insertion and beating of weft yarns, a second electric motor 3 for driving a weaving machine and generating opening/closing movement of warp yarns for shed forming and an electric axis control system for maintaining the synchronisation and/or the desired degree of phase displacement between the moving members of the loom and the weaving machine. The first motor 2 and the second motor 3 are coaxially mounted and both are provided with second power takeoff means, wherein the second power takeoff means are adjacent and mutually connected through an electromagnetic connection means which is disengageable by energising the electromagnet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
