PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of certainly connecting a connector and reducing loads on the connector and both substrates. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: a first substrate 41 provided with an image pickup device for performing optical conversion of an image which is formed by a photographing optical system and a first connector for connection; a second substrate 42 provided with a second connector connected to the first connector of the first substrate 41; and a shield case which is fixed to a front side case 21 around the surroundings of the first substrate 41 and the second substrate 42, wherein a space sp1 for permitting relative displacement by a present amount of the second substrate 42 is interposed between the outer periphery of the second substrate 42 and the inner periphery of the shield case, and a projected piece 42a for joining the second substrate 42 is joined to an opening 52a for joining of the shield case via a joining member.
