PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device having a vibration reduction function, and to provide a vibration reduction method thereof. SOLUTION: A portable electronic device includes a central processing unit, an image processing unit, a vibration sensor and a vibration reduction module. The vibration reduction module includes: a vibration signal collecting sub-module to collect a vibration signal detected by the vibration sensor; a filter sub-module to filter the vibration signal to cancel noise in the vibration signal; a vibration offset calculating sub-module to calculate a vibration offset according to the filtered vibration signal; a vibration compensation calculating sub-module to calculate a compensation value corresponding to the vibration offset of the portable device; and an image controlling sub-module to perform vibration correction by moving images displayed on a display of the portable electronic device through the image processing unit on the basis of the vibration offset correction value.
