MAGNETIC READER, MAGNETIC READING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease read errors and improve a read ratio at peak read in a magnetic reader which reads magnetic data from a magnetic medium recorded by a frequency modulation system. SOLUTION: The magnetic reader performs a forward read and a reverse read and includes: a peak interval check part 115 which determines existence of a read error by comparing a peak interval and a logical interval value for the read results; a parity check part 116 which performs a parity checks; a character test part 117 which determines the existence of the read error based on the character generated from the read result; and a result output part 118 which outputs the character or the error based on these determination results.
