PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the shortening of a lateral conveying device even if temporarily interrupting an unloading operation in a cereal grain-unloading device equipped with the lateral conveying device capable of extending and contracting. SOLUTION: The device for unloading a powdery or granular material is provided with transmission-switching means (35a) capable of switching a state of driving a first shaft (34) and a second shaft (36) in association with each other by transmitting a driving power from the first shaft (34) driven by a first driving source (20a) to the second shaft (36), and a state of driving only the second shaft (36) while stopping the first shaft (34) by blocking the transmission of the driving power from the second shaft (36) driven by a second driving source (37a) to a first conveying device (9) between the first shaft (34) at the upper side of the lateral conveying device and the second shaft (36) at the lower side.
