<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material reinforced with an inexpensive thermosetting binder holding both flexibility and strength after curing, and containing mainly natural products or substances originated from natural products. <P>SOLUTION: The composite material is obtained from an aqueous binder composition containing a defatted soybean powder of ≤43 μm in mesh particle size, a polymer particle of at least one emulsion (co)polymer, one or more amino resins, and as required, one or more reducing sugars.
