<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism in which a lithium ion secondary battery is made to voluntarily discharged at a high temperature, in order to further reduce the possibility of thermal runaway, and prevent that the lithium ion secondary battery is placed in a high temperature and an overcharge state. <P>SOLUTION: A protection circuit of the lithium ion secondary battery is equipped with a thermal switching element which is electrically connected to the secondary battery in parallel, thermally contacted, and in which the electrical resistance decreases, accompanied with the elevation of temperature. In the thermal switching element, the electrical resistance decreases accompanied with the elevation of the temperature, and the secondary battery is made to voluntarily discharge at a prescribed temperature or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
