PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of automatically setting a screen display color to an optimal color without changing hardware. SOLUTION: A display device 10 includes a body 2, a display 3 provided in the body 2, and a cabinet 4 attachable/detachable to/from the body 2. The display device 10 further includes: a nonvolatile memory 41 for storing color information representing a color of the cabinet 4 or a remote controller operating the display device; a color acquisition section 42 for acquiring color information from the nonvolatile memory 41; and a display control section 21 for controlling a color to be displayed on the display 3 in accordance with a color acquired by the color acquisition section 42.
