PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass block for molten steel vessel, in which chromium is not left at dismantling while utilizing a high corrosion resisting chromium containing refractory. SOLUTION: In mass blocks 4, 5, a chromium containing refractory is arranged according to a damaged profile 3 as an erosion measure of the mass block and a non-chromium material is arranged in the other region where is left after use.
