LIGHT GUIDE PLATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate and a method for manufacturing the light guide plate that improves display quality.

SOLUTION: The light guide plate includes a light incident surface for receiving incident light from a light source; a light outgoing part for emitting outgoing light changed in the distribution of the incident light; a reflecting part that faces the light outgoing part; a plurality of first patterns formed at the upper part of the light outgoing part to extend in a first direction perpendicular to the light incident part to distribute the outgoing light with maximum brightness in a direction perpendicular to the light outgoing part; and a plurality of second patterns formed at the reflecting part to scatter the incident light. Out of spaces between the adjacent second patterns, a first space formed in the first direction is smaller than a second space formed in a second direction intersecting the first direction. A display device includes a display panel, a light source and a diffuser in addition to the light guide plate.
