PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lens barrel in the optical axis and radial directions thereof. SOLUTION: The lens barrel has an aperture 50a configured such that at least part of an optical lens is telescoped in the optical axis direction, and a diaphragm blade 53 that is arranged movably between a closing position entering the aperture 50a and an opening position retreating from the aperture 50a. The diaphragm blade 53 is configured to leave part of the aperture 50a outside an effective luminous flux range 22b (have a gap 50b) in the closing position, and to telescope at least part of the optical lens in the optical axis direction inside the aperture 50a in the opening position, wherein a passage cross section of the aperture 50a by a luminous flux, which passes the aperture 50a and forms an image in an effective imaging range on an imaging plane, is the effective luminous flux range 22b.
