PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handcuff-type bifurcated pole capable of depriving the freedom of an attacker and safely holding down the attacker. SOLUTION: A large restraining tool having a function of locking, such as handcuffs, is provided at the tip of the bifurcated pole. Since the body or the legs of the attacker is surrounded and locked by the restraining tool like handcuffs, the freedom of behavior of the attacker can be deprived. For example, even if the attacker carries a large Japanese sword with him, the movement of the attacker is retrained by the handcuff-type bifurcated pole for a body, and by holding down the attacker by the handcuff type bifurcated pole for a leg, the attacker is made to fall down; and hence, the attacker can be apprehended in a safe and easy manner.
