PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern drawing apparatus and a method therefor which can draw a line pattern with high position accuracy in a short time. SOLUTION: The pattern drawing apparatus 100 is provided with a drawing information correcting portion which calculates a difference Z between a center position Q of a line drawn so as to coincide a center between discharge holes on both ends of discharge holes formed in an ink jet head and selected for drawing a line 10A with a center position P of the line 10A, and the center position P of the line 10A as a correction value, and corrects drawing information based on the correction value so that the center position Q coincides with the center position P.
