The present invention relates to a cake and to a cake stand. The cake stand includes a base plate, an elevating plate, an elevating member, and an operation member. The base plate has a top surface on which a first cake is placed. The elevating plate has a smaller diameter than that of the base plate, moves vertically at an upper central portion of the base plate, and has a top surface on which a second cake is placed. The elevating member is disposed between the elevating plate and the base plate which is disposed under the elevating plate, and moves the elevating plate upward or downward according to the operation of a user. A user operates the operation member to vertically move the elevating member. Accordingly, a cake placed on the cake support can be transformed from a single-tiered cake to a multi-tiered cake and vice versa, and thus can generate new interest. The volume of a multi-tiered cake can be reduced, and the packaging, delivering, and storing of cakes of various sizes can be facilitated. The cake support thus encourages the use of multi-tiered cakes. |
