<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor white-based light emitting device, reducing variations in white light between devices, improving a productivity of the device and enhancing a light conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the device, a fluorescent material layer 6 is formed, in which an ultraviolet light emitting element 3 is used as a semiconductor light emitting element, and a blue luminescence fluorescent material 61 and a yellow luminous fluorescent material 62 are mixed and dispersed.
