<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid medium for sample observation by an electron microscope and a sample observation method using the liquid medium, capable of preventing charge of a sample observation surface by a simple means, suppressing deformation caused by contraction or the like even after being dried, in a biosample or the like, and restraining an original image of the sample from being obstructed by partial remaining of ion liquid on a contraction impression. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid medium includes as an essential component, ion liquid whose solubility to water is 550g/100g water or more, or whose osmotic pressure in 10 wt.% aqueous solution is 0.7 Osmol/kg or more, especially ion liquid expressed by the following formula (I), (in the formula, R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>are each alkyl group having the carbon number of 1-5, or each water-soluble functional group shown by -R<SP>5</SP>-A (R<SP>5</SP>shows an alkylene group having the carbon number of 1-5, and A shows a hydroxyl group or the like), and at least one of them is a water-soluble functional group, and X<SP>-</SP>shows anion such as alkyl sulfonic acid ion.). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
