<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensively a liquid crystal display device which is additionally equipped with contact detection function. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with: an insulating substrate; a first substrate including a first detection element arranged above the insulating substrate and extending in a first direction, a second detection element extending in a second direction crossing the first direction, and an insulating film interposed between the first detection element and the second detection element; a second substrate facing to the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer held between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a detection circuit for detecting change of a capacitance between the first detection element and the second detection element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
