PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator control system that can monitor a generic failure and realize further simplification and streamlining of the configuration. SOLUTION: An operation controller 11 includes a command generation portion 21 that generates a command signal for commanding operation of an apparatus 100, and a first monitoring portion 22 that monitors an abnormality relating to actuation of an actuator controller 12. The actuator controller 12 includes a control portion 24 and a second monitoring portion 29. The control portion 24 generates a control signal for controlling operation of an actuator 101 driving the apparatus 100 in accordance with the above-described command signal. The second monitoring portion 29 monitors an abnormality that relates to the actuation of the actuator controller 12 and that is different in type from an abnormality monitored by the first monitoring portion 22.
