SOLUTION: A red-eye area specification information generation part 43 generates a separation curve for separating the distribution of pixels constituting a red-eye area and the distribution of the other pixels in the distribution of feature values of a target area in a space that uses feature values of at least two colors as axes, estimates pixels constituting the red-eye area based on the values of pixels in the target area and the values corresponding to the separation curve for the values of the pixels, and generates correction intensity map information in which the estimated result is stored in each pixel. A self-confidence degree determination part 63 determines the self-confidence degree of the estimated result based on a color state of the target area.
