PURPOSE: An image display device and a control method thereof are provided to display the caption of a reproducing image. CONSTITUTION: An image display device reproduces an image(S110). The image display device displays a caption corresponding to the image in a display unit(S120). The image display device displays an object corresponding to time information by caption on a caption screen(S130).
