LIGHT GUIDE PLATE, AND BACKLIGHT UNIT ADOPTING LIGHT GUIDE PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate and a backlight unit adopting the light guide plate.

SOLUTION: The light guide plate is provided with a plurality each of slender grooves and pass-through grooves. The slender grooves and the pass-through grooves partition light-emitting regions on one face of the light guide plate in a common alignment method. A side-view light source unit each is also provided at the pass-through groove. Each side-view light source unit emits a light emitted toward a corresponding light-emitting area inside the pass-through groove.
