PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when the start or stop of a panning operation or tilting operation is determined by means of an oscillation sensor for an anti-oscillation function, a delay occurs to the determination of the actual start or stop of the panning operation or tilting operation, and consequently start or stop of a blur-of-image correction is not quickly determined executed. SOLUTION: A lens apparatus, which is supported by a supporting body, has: a panning and tilting-detecting part which determines whether the panning operation or tilting operation of the supporting body is conducted on the basis of information on the panning and tilting operations which the supporting body outputs; a blur-of-image correction lens which corrects the blur of an image; an oscillation-detecting part which detects the oscillation of the lens apparatus and computes a blur-of-image quantity; and an anti-oscillation part which drives the blur-of-image correction lens on the basis of the blur-of-image quantity. The panning and tilting-detecting part resets the oscillation-detecting part in case that the panning operation or the tilting operation is determined to be executed, and releases the reset of the oscillation-detecting part in case that the panning operation or the tilting operation is determined not to be executed.
