<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake which can be inhibited from being enlarged. <P>SOLUTION: A cylinder section 35 consists of a cylindrical part 93 having two openings and a lid member 92 of a cylindrical shape having a bottom, a separate member from the cylindrical part 93. The cylinder section is formed by jointing the lid member 92 to the cylindrical part 93 integrally by friction stir welding from the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder section 35 with an annular peripheral edge end 99, which forms the opening of the lid member 92, in contact with an annular peripheral edge 94, which forms the opening at the side where a brake pad does not face of the openings of the cylindrical part 93. A joint section 115 that is friction stir welded is arranged at the position of smaller inner diameter than a sliding range outside the sliding range of the piston 33 in the cylindrical part 93. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
