<p>Nanoscale ZnO particles are used in aqueous binder systems to increase blocking resistance, to reduce drying times and/or to increase resistance to chemicals, detergents, heat, weathering or biological infestation of the dried or cured systems. The invention further relates to nanoscale zinc oxide particles which have been surface-modified with phosphonocarboxylic acid and to the use thereof.</p> |
