PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for a color filter, which maintains superior ejection stability for a long period of time and makes it possible to display an image with suppressed color unevenness and density unevenness in each portion and with a superior contrast ratio, and which is suitably used for manufacturing a color filter with superior uniformity of characteristics among individual color filters.

SOLUTION: The ink for the color filter is used for manufacturing an inkjet mode color filter, and contains a dye, resin material, solvent and predetermined compound with which the ejection stability of liquid drops is made superior.
