PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a right imaging bearing from which influences of disturbance are excluded, in a short period of time corresponding to imaging timing. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus is provided which includes: an imaging section for imaging a subject in response to an imaging starting instruction and outputting a captured image; a terrestrial magnetism sensor for detecting terrestrial magnetism; an imaging control section for controlling components of the imaging section during an imaging processing period from the imaging starting instruction to the output of the imaged image and determining an operation period of a magnetism generating component, which affects a detection value of the terrestrial magnetism sensor, among the components of the imaging section; an bearing calculating section for calculating an imaging bearing on the basis of a detection value detected by the terrestrial magnetism sensor during any other period than the operation period of the terrestrial magnetism generating component in the imaging processing period; and a recording section for recording the imaging bearing on a recording medium while relating the imaging bearing to the imaged image.
