The present invention relates to a flush toilet which can not only substantially reduce the production of noise and the amount of water consumed but can also essentially stop foul smells and backflow from occurring by closing the water-drainage pathway itself, by means of an arrangement whereby body waste can be removed at one time through a suction unit operated by means of motor drive while, simultaneously, unsanitary material sticking to the inside of the bowl of the toilet itself can be washed off while employing the minimum amount of water without any need for a cistern. The present invention comprises a water-supply unit which is provided on one side of the toilet main body and which is for supplying water from a water pipe to the bowl of the toilet main body and a suction unit which operates in such a way as to either open or close the water-drainage pathway through which the body waste flows out from the bowl, wherein the water-supply unit comprises a linked-operation shaft which is linked to the motor drive and is for supplying water to discharge holes formed in the uppermost part of the inside of the bowl while rotating inside a casing, and the suction unit is constituted so as to be able to forcibly discharge the human waste in the bowl through suction by means of a cam which is made to revolve by an electrically operated motor and the operation of the cam causing a piston provided inside a cylinder to move forwards and backwards in a resilient fashion when a button switch is pressed and operated. |
