The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for detecting the misconnection of a base station sector antenna, and the method comprises: counting the switches data of each sector in the base station when the sector switching to its adjacent sectors; computing the switching parameters of two target sectors according to the switching data; judging whether or not the antennae of the two target sectors are misconnected according to the switching parameters, and recording the sectors with antennae misconnected. The present invention enables to simply, conveniently and quickly detect whether or not the base station antennae are misconnected by detecting the base station sectors with the antennae misconnected according to computing the base station switching data.
