The contact has a first portion forming an insertion zone (1) for pressing into a through hole of a circuit board. A second portion forms a solid region (2) for continuous connection of a punching grid, bus bar, pin contact and/or spring contact. A third portion is arranged as a weakening region (3) between the first and second portions. The portions are connected with each other, where elasticity at the third portion measured with respect to longitudinal force acting in a longitudinal direction during pressing is smaller than elasticity of the insertion zone for lateral force.
