SILVER PARTICULATE HAVING HIGH SMOOTHNESS, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for smoothing the surfaces of silver particulates, not by a mechanical collision technique but with thermochemical treatment, and to provide the silver particulates produced thereby. SOLUTION: The method for producing the silver particulates includes: adding an organic reducing agent into a solution of an ammine complex of silver to make the silver particulates precipitate; collecting the silver particulates by separating the solid from the liquid without washing the precipitate; and heating the silver particulates in a vacuum or an atmosphere of an inert gas, which has an oxygen partial pressure of 10-4Pa or less, while keeping the temperature to 300-500°C to smooth the surfaces.
