PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle-ride type electric vehicle including an attachable and detachable charger, which allows a reliable attaching and detaching operation on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A two-wheeled electric vehicle 1 with a containing box 50 provided on a lower portion of an openable and closable seat 21 includes: a charger 65 of a battery 41; vehicle-side locking means 70F, 70R provided on a bottom portion of the containing box 50; and charger-side locking means 80F, 80R provided on a bottom portion of the charger 65. The vehicle-side locking means 70F, 70R and the charger-side locking means 80F, 80R are locked to each other to hold the charger 65. Before the charger 65 is held at a predetermined position, the seat 21 is prevented from swinging to a predetermined closed state by bringing a projecting member 75 provided on a lower surface of the seat 21 into contact with an upper surface of the charger 65. On the other hand, the seat 21 is allowed to swing to the closed state by inserting the projecting member 75 into a gap generated by holding the charger 65 at the predetermined position.
