PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf spring type suspension device for a vehicle which uses a shackle link type support mechanism to allow braking and self-running even when the leaf spring is damaged. SOLUTION: In the leaf spring type suspension device in which an axle and the frame are installed by using the leaf spring, a regulating member for regulating the rotation range of an arm is installed in the shackle link type support mechanism for supporting the rear of the leaf spring. Thus, even when the front half of the leaf spring is damaged, the amount of movement of the arm is restricted by the regulating member installed in the rear supporting member, and the braking action of wheels can be transmitted to the frame. Additionally, the angular change of the axle becomes lessened, and hence the self-running or the like of the vehicle are ensured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
