PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing guidance which facilitates traveling in accordance with a guidance route, even when there is a road provided with a carpool lane installed. SOLUTION: A navigation device 100 includes a current position calculation means for calculating the current position of a moving body; a recommended route search means for searching for a recommended route up to a destination; a guidance point setting means for setting guidance points in the recommended route; and a guidance information notification means for performing notification of predetermined guidance information, when the moving body reaches the set guidance points. In the road provided with the carpool lane, the guidance point setting means performs setting so that, when the distance to a branch point from a merging point with the road is smaller than a predetermined distance, guidance information is not notified at a guidance point where the guidance information to the carpool lane is to be notified.
