摘要 Disclosed are: a process for producing hydrogen by combining the dehydrogenation reaction of an organic hydride or the like with a hydrogen separation membrane, wherein hydrogen can be mixed with a raw material for the dehydrogenation reaction readily and the deterioration in performance of a dehydrogenation reaction catalyst can be prevented; and a dehydrogenation reactor. Specifically disclosed is a flow-type reactor for use in the dehydrogenation of an organic compound, which comprises: a reaction-side area which comprises a hydrogen separation membrane capable of the selective permeation of hydrogen therethrough and a dehydrogenation catalyst enabling the release of hydrogen upon the dehydrogenation reaction and capable of promoting the organic compound dehydrogenation reaction and contains the dehydrogenation catalyst, and through which the organic compound can pass: and a permeated side area which is partitioned by the hydrogen separation membrane from the reaction-side area and through which hydrogen that has permeated through the hydrogen separation membrane can pass. The reactor contains, in this order along the flow direction of the organic compound, a part (B) in which the hydrogen separation membrane is contained and the dehydrogenation catalyst is not contained and a part (A) in which both the hydrogen separation membrane and the dehydrogenation catalyst are contained.
