Disclosed are a toner used in an electronic photocopying process or static printing process, and a polyester resin comprised as a binder in the toner. The polyester resin contains lactic acid (D- or L-lactic acid) or a lactide (D- or L-lactide) compound derived therefrom and 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol.
