<p>Disclosed is a novel agent for promoting lung regeneration. Lung regeneration is promoted by administering a steroid, while carrying out treatment of increasing the cAMP concentration in a lung. Consequently, a medical agent that contains a steroid and/or an agent for increasing the cAMP concentration can be used as an agent for promoting lung regeneration.</p>
