<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in the conventional technique, an interpolation frame is generated by using pixels of a reference frame in generating the interpolation frame without considering that the reference frame includes pixels different from pixels inherent to the reference frame, and consequently, the pixels different from the pixels inherent to the interpolation frame are formed in the interpolation frame, a correct interpolation frame is not generated, and the image quality itself of a moving image deteriorates. <P>SOLUTION: An interpolation frame is generated by an image processing device having a distortion-degree calculating device and an interpolation-frame generating part. The distortion-degree calculating device imparts a distortion degree, which is for evaluating a level that a prescribed code string included in one frame includes pixels different from pixels to be contained in the prescribed code string when the prescribed code string is decoded, to the code string. The interpolation-frame generating section executes weighting based on the distortion degree to information indicating the pixels contained in the decoded code string and generates pixels for forming an interpolation frame corresponding to the one frame by using the weighted information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
