PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid detergent composition capable of performing excellent detergency without decline of the enzyme activity while preferably maintaining the storage stability of the enzyme even in the case of including a surfactant at a high concentration or in the case of a long term storage. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a liquid detergent composition including an (A) component: a surfactant (including a nonionic surfactant by 60 mass% or more in the (A) component), a (B) component: at least one carboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of a formic acid and carboxylic acids represented by formula (X-R<SP>1</SP>-COOH) and/or a salt thereof, a (C) component: an enzyme, and a (D) component: water, comprises a step of blending the (B) component, the (C) component and a part or the entirety of the (D) component, and then blending the same with the remaining components.
