PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lens barrel, without reducing the operability of a barrier blade and the degree of freedom in design of the lens barrel. SOLUTION: The lens barrel includes a barrier drive spring 43 attached between the spring hook part 41b of a barrier cover 41 and the spring hook part 42a of a barrier blade 42. The rotational hole 42b of the barrier blade 42 is rotatably supported by a rotational shaft provided in a barrier drive member, and the barrier drive spring is provided so that the charge amount of the barrier drive spring 43 is gradually decreased according to the opening operation of the barrier blade 42 accompanying the movement of the barrier drive member in the direction of an arrow B, when the barrier drive member is moved in the direction of an arrow A in such a state that the barrier blade 42 is restrained in an opening direction, the charge amount of the barrier drive spring 43 is gradually increased and when the barrier blade 42 is opened in such a state that the barrier drive member is restrained in the direction of the arrow A, the charge amount of the barrier drive spring 43 is gradually increased.
