<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for preventing incorrect operation of an apparatus when biometrics authentication is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: an operation section (28) installed in an image forming apparatus body (10) and having a plurality of operation keys (67-73) used by a user for various operations and an operation screen (74) for displaying various information; a biometrics authentication unit (40) installed in the operation section and used for individual authentication by user's living body; and an arrangement prohibiting region (80) formed around the biometrics authentication unit and preventing arrangement of the operation keys or operation screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
