<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscopic device that considers safety of users while preventing a reduction in optical performance even when an optical member is deformed by heat generated in a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The stroboscopic device includes a flash discharge tube 3 in a light emitting part housing 5 having an aperture 1H provided on a subject side, a reflection member 4 reflecting flash light from the flash discharge tube 3 toward the aperture 1H, and an optical member 1 provided in the aperture 1H.
