The invention relates to a method and a device for controlling a reverse-conducting IGBT (T1, T2). A measurement voltage (uM) is determined from a measured collector-emitter voltage (UCE) of an RC-IGBT (T1, T2) to be controlled. The reverse-conducting IGBT (T1, T2) is controlled depending on the polarity sign of the determined measurement voltage (uM) and a state of a target control signal (S* T 1, S* T 2) if the polarity sign is positive and the target control signal( S* T 1, S* T 2) is in the "ON" state. The invention provides a method for controlling a reverse-conducting IGBT (T1, T2) without directly measuring an initial current of a bridge branch having two reverse-conducting IGBTs (T1, T2) connected in series. |
