<p>Flame-retardant polymer composition comprises: at least one alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate copolymers with a vinyl acetate content of 40-90 wt.%, based on the total weight of the alpha -olefin vinyl acetate copolymers; and a synergistic flame-retardant material combination comprising a phosphinic acid salt (I) as a component A, and a metal hydroxide, preferably aluminum hydroxide (ATH) as a component B. Flame-retardant polymer composition comprises: at least one alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate copolymers with a vinyl acetate content of 40-90 wt.%, based on the total weight of the alpha -olefin vinyl acetate copolymers; and a synergistic flame-retardant material combination comprising a phosphinic acid salt of formula ([P(R1)(R2)(=O)-O] mM(m +>)) (I) as a component A, and a metal hydroxide, preferably aluminum hydroxide (ATH) as a component B. R1, R2 : optionally branched 1-6C alkyl, preferably 1-4C alkyl; M : Ca-, Al- or Zn ions; and m : 2 or 3. An independent claim is also included for the flame retardant material combination for producing the flame-retardant polymer composition made from at least one alpha -olefin-vinyl acetate copolymers with the vinyl acetate content of 50-80 wt.%, based on the total weight of the alpha -olefin vinyl acetate copolymers.</p> |
