PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of enhancing the convenience of a user. SOLUTION: The digital camera (imaging apparatus) 100 capable of photographing an object includes an antenna 112 for wireless connection to a PC 300, an image display section 28 for displaying a wireless menu, and an automatic transfer function for automatically transferring image data of the photographed object to the PC 300. The digital camera 100 permits or inhibits settings for switching of a setting item "automatic transfer" on the wireless menu between "ON" and "OFF" depending on a state of the wireless connection between the digital camera 100 and the PC 300 and an operating mode of the digital camera 100.
